Hiking Through History - 109-1-1793

Join us for a guided exploration of some of history of the land that is now Stony Creek Metropark. This landscape has been, and continues to be, valued for its beauty and natural resources and we’ll step back in time to visit with some of the many families and peoples that came before. Stony Creek Metropark’s woods and water have been utilized for food, shelter, and even been called home by many. Take a hike through time to learn more about the cultural and historical resources of Stony Creek Metropark.

September 14 – Hiking Through History: A Park is Born

What to Expect:
This program starts indoors, ends outside. The time, approximately 75 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk from ½ mile to 1.5 miles. The planned path surface is gravel and occasionally steep. For maximum enjoyment, some of our program time will require all participants to patiently remain still, quiet and listen closely.

Ages: 8 and up.
Time: 2 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $3 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Stony Creek Metropark, Nature Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. three days before the program.
