Why are vernal pools so cool? They are temporary, small and need our protection. We’ll investigate the critters that need these seasonal bodies of water for breeding, habitat and how they are important indicators of a healthy ecosystem. Something we need now more than ever. Join us to hit the trails and explore some vernal pools!

What to Expect:
This program is entirely outdoors. The time, approximately 60 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. We will conclude at the Oakwoods Nature Center. The planned path surface is dirt and gravel, and mostly flat and level.

Ages: Fun for all ages!
Time: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Cost: $3 per child, $5 per adult, children under 2 free!
