Spotlight On: Snakes - 115-1-1755

Ever wonder about the one venomous snake we have here in Michigan or about the other snakes that you see sunning themselves or slithering by? This program is all about the more common snakes of Indian Springs Metropark and their importance within the ecosystems they inhabit. Perhaps you will find out that snakes are not as scary as they seem. In fact, they might be helping you in more ways than you think!
What to Expect:
This program starts indoors, ends outside. The time, approximately 1 hour, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk about 1.5 miles. We will conclude at the Environmental Discovery Center. The planned path is dirt and gravel, frequently rolling or slightly hilly, not suitable for adaptive walking equipment. No prior experience is necessary.

Ages: 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 11 a.m. – Noon
Cost: $3 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Indian Springs Metropark, Environmental Discovery Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
