Spotlight On: Dragonflies - 115-1-1754

We will be looking into where dragonflies (and damselflies) start their life and why they need to be so amazing at flying. Then we’ll go for a walk to the water to see where they live and hunt. We will use dip nets to search for the younger forms of these incredible insects.
What to Expect:
This program is entirely outdoors. The time, approximately 1.5 hours, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk about 1.5 miles. The planned path is dirt and gravel, frequently rolling or slightly hilly and not suitable for adaptive walking equipment. No prior experience is necessary.
Ages: 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Cost: $3 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Indian Springs Metropark, Environmental Discovery Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
