International Volunteer Day Event - 109-1-1605

Wildlife Conservation Day and International Volunteer Day both take place the week of December 1st. Join us to celebrate at Stony Creek Metropark by working to improve the ecosystem. Volunteers have contributed countless hours to preserving our natural areas, and in recognition of volunteers’ hard work this year, we will end with refreshments to express our gratitude.

All necessary tools and equipment will be provided. We will provide gloves, but feel free to bring your favorite pair! Please be sure to dress for working outdoors and off-trail in areas that may include poison ivy (long pants, layered clothing, closed-toe shoes, rain gear, hat, sunscreen, etc.). Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water!

Ages: 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost: Free!
