Volunteer Day on World Migratory Bird Day - 112-1-1605

Volunteer at Lake Erie Metropark on World Migratory Bird Day! Work with Natural Resources staff to cut invasive shrubs and collect native plant seed, while learning about how your efforts improve habitat and support migrating birds. Remember to keep an eye out for your favorite bird(s)!

All necessary tools and equipment will be provided. We will provide gloves, but feel free to bring your favorite pair! Please be sure to dress for working outdoors and off-trail in areas that may include poison ivy (long pants, layered clothing, closed-toe shoes, rain gear, hat, sunscreen, etc.). Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water!

Ages: 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost: Free!

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. three days before the program.
