Volunteer Day Celebrate Your Lakes Day - 102-1-1605

Join Natural Resources staff at Lake St. Clair Metropark on Celebrate Your Lakes Day! We will be removing cottonwoods from gardens to improve the health of Lake St Clair and give native plants a helping hand. Volunteers will learn about how a healthy shoreline ecosystem preserves and protects our lakes.

All necessary tools and equipment will be provided. We will provide gloves, but feel free to bring your favorite pair! Please be sure to dress for working outdoors and off-trail in areas that may include poison ivy (long pants, layered clothing, closed-toe shoes, rain gear, hat, sunscreen, etc.). Don’t forget to bring a bottle of water too!

Ages: 12 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Cost: Free!
