Dive into the iconic Michigan hobby of lake kayaking. We’ll cover basic paddling strokes, safety tips, how to dress for the water, and some simple ways to be kind to nature before taking a leisurely 40-minute float on Kent Lake. If you have never kayaked before, are new to kayaking, or just want to try something new, this class is for you.

What to expect: This program is entirely outdoors, starting on the shore before launching kayaks into the water. No prior experience necessary. Time includes personal or small group instruction. For maximum enjoyment, some of our 1-hour program time will require all participants to patiently remain quiet and listen closely. Suggestions for attire included in your confirmation email after registering.
