Prairie Birding - 115-1-1595

Begin your day out in nature with a guided birdwatching hike. We will be exploring the native prairie here at Indian Springs Metropark to search for some of the rare birds that depend on it. Sharpen your birding skills, become familiar with this unique habitat, and hopefully see some of these birds yourselves.
This program is entirely outdoors. The time, approximately one hour, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. Expect to walk about 1 mile. We will conclude at our destination: South Meadowlark Picnic Shelter.  The planned path surface is grass. The planned path grade is frequently rolling or slightly hilly and is not suitable for adaptive walking equipment. A portion of the program time includes personal or small group instruction. For maximum enjoyment, some of our one-hour program time will require all participants to patiently remain quiet and listen closely.

Ages: Adults 18 and up.
Time: 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Cost: $5 per adult
Location: Indian Springs Metropark, South Meadowlark Picnic Shelter
