How-to: Collect Wild Seeds - 108-1-1803

Make your own seed mix from wild seeds you collect yourself. With little to no watering required, wild plants are an easy option for those with less-than a green thumb. Bonus? They are naturally beautiful and attract birds and butterflies to your outdoor space, big or small. Take home techniques (and seeds!) with this hands-on experience. Harvesting is not permitted in the Metroparks. Enjoy this one-time-only special opportunity.

What to expect: Program will be entirely outdoors and include walking off trail in rough, weedy terrain. The distance traveled will be less than a quarter mile. Plan to be outside for the entire 1-hour program time. No prior experience necessary.
