Teacher Workshops: Lake St. Clair - 102-1-7004

This teacher workshop series provides opportunities for hands-on exploration of science concepts, activities, and lesson plans for grades k-5. The Climate Change Science session in July will provide access to the newly updated climate change Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Supports module. The Monarchs and Milkweed workshop will help teachers engage their students with the community of organisms that call milkweed home, with a focus on the monarch butterfly. Winter birds explores the many ways teachers can connect with science, math, and literacy through engaging with birds outside our classroom windows!

Each section combines outdoor discovery time, links to standards, information about grants for materials, and suggestions for how to incorporate and support the best practices of outdoor science for students and teachers. Up to 3.5 SCECHs provided for each session!
