Nature at Night: Bat Hike - 102-1-1690

Bats are the subject of folklore and fantasy as well as many misunderstandings. Learn the truth about Michigan’s nine species of bats, why bats around the globe are facing threats, how you can help bats thrive, and then take a hike with our bat detector to observe bats in action.

What to Expect: Our hike takes place on flat, compact gravel trails for about a mile and the walk will take place after sunset. Accessible parking available onsite.

Ages: 10 and up
Time: 7:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Cost: $5 per person
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
