Geminids Meteor Shower - 102-1-1693

Join Nature Center staff to celebrate and observe one of the best and most reliable meteor showers of the year, the Geminids. We will have a short presentation discussing the history of this astronomical event, what meteors are and why we are able to see them during certain parts of the year. There will be space themed crafts and activities and warm beverages while supplies last. Participants will also have the opportunity to view the night sky via telescope, weather permitting.

What to Expect:
This program starts indoors, ends outside. The time, approximately 75 minutes, will be spent viewing the night sky. The planned path surface is dirt, gravel, and grass mostly flat and level. For maximum enjoyment, some of our program time will require all participants to remain quiet and listen closely.
