Build a Backyard Birdhouse - 109-1-1551

Build a backyard birdhouse, learn about our local cavity-dwelling birds, and create a new home for wildlife in your backyard. In the spring, we'll learn about attracting and monitoring Eastern Bluebirds, investigate threats to the birds, and then build a simple, standard bluebird box that you can install just in time for nesting season. Our fall session will focus on a box fit for many species- an Eastern Screech Owl, an American Kestrel, or a Wood Duck! Learn a bit about what each bird is looking for, how to install the boxes to meet each species' needs, and take home a box of your own.

Remember that these make great gifts for bird-loving friends and family! If you’re interested in building more than one box at the workshop, there is an additional $25 per box fee, and you can add extra ones to your cart using the add on button below.
