Join us as we paddle through the North Marsh aboard a 34-foot voyageur canoe. Learn about this unique wetland habitat while searching for wildlife found in our marsh. Hear stories of the Voyageurs who paddled these canoes during Michigan’s fur trade era. Limited seating is available.

What to Expect:
Participants will be paddling a large canoe together. Entering and exiting the canoe requires stepping down into the canoe and back up onto a floating dock. The on-water portion of the trip takes about 1.5 hours with a 30-minute orientation and demonstration before entering the canoe. The canoe is guided by a minimum of one staff member. All participants must wear a life jacket (provided).

10 a.m. program – Cub Scouts
1 p.m. program – Girl Scouts

Ages: 7 and up.
Time: 10 a.m. – Noon & 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
