Teacher Workshop: Exploring Ecosystems at Stony Creek Metropark

The focus of this workshop is to increase teacher proficiency through hands-on exploration of ecosystem science to increase confidence and enthusiasm in investigative, place-based science lessons for their classes. Workshops will link to lessons and activities available in Metroparks Supplemental Science Learning Boxes that support Michigan Science Standards and are available to borrow from the Metroparks for free. Dress to be outdoors and bring a water bottle. Lunch and snacks will be provided. This workshop is open to Wayne County Science Teachers in Grades 3-8 and is made possible free of charge through a generous grant from the Russell Foundation. Participants will receive up to four State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs).

Location: Stony Creek Metropark Nature Center
