Adventures in Science Day Camp - 115-1-1665

Learn how to make things that fizz, bubble and ooze in this fun and interactive two-day science day camp at Indian Springs Metropark. Explore how water moves within a plant and more through hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) experiments. Discover life under a microscope in our science lab and meet some of the smallest animals that live in a pond. Explore the woods, prairie and ponds of Indian Springs through hands-on outdoor scientific investigation.

This day camp runs for two days, July 17-18 and is specifically for kids ages 7-10.

What to Expect:
Approximately half of this program is indoors in the science lab. The time we’ll be outside, approximately 4 hours over 2 days, will be spent on an exploration walk around our woods, prairie and ponds with frequent stops, ending back at the Environmental Discovery Center. The planned path surface is dirt and gravel. The planned path grade is frequently rolling or slightly hilly and is not suitable for adaptive walking equipment.
