Teacher Workshop: Exploring Ecosystems - Stony Creek Metropark - 7/17 - 9:30am

Explore Michigan ecosystems along the trail in the Nature Study Area and increase your confidence and enthusiasm in creating investigative, place-based science lessons for your students. This workshop links to lessons and activities available in Metroparks Supplemental Science Learning Boxes that support Michigan Science Standards and are available to borrow for free. Dress to be outdoors and bring a water bottle. Lunch and snacks will be provided. This workshop is open to Wayne County Science Teachers in Grades 3-8 and is made possible FREE of charge through a generous grant from the Russell Foundation. Participants will receive up to four State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs).

Ages: Adult teachers for 3rd - 8th grades
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Location: Stony Creek Metropark, Nature Center
