Details for A Night With Amphibians

Date(s): 04/11/2024 - 04/11/2024

Time:  8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Overview:
Come out to the Rivergrove Picnic Area at Hudson Mills Metropark on April 11th at 8 pm to find salamanders, frogs, and toads that frequent vernal ponds. We’ll head out on and off the trail visually searching and listening for these amphibians. This is a night program so bring a flashlight! We will be walking at least 0.5 miles on our unpaved trails and along uneven ground in the dark. Your feet might get a little wet, so wear waterproof footwear and dress for the weather.

Pre-registration is not required. Please direct any questions to (734) 426-8211 and/or [email protected]

*Due to irregular weather patterns affecting amphibian behavior, this night hike is in place of the annual salamander migration program.

Ages: 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Time: 8:00 – 9:30 p.m.
Cost: $5 per person. Cash only. Collected at start of program.
Location: Hudson Mills Metropark, Rivergrove Picnic Area
