Overview:
Need help getting your team ready for Science Olympiad? During this Session 1 workshop, students will be engaged in using a variety of interactive study tools focusing on: visually recognizing/identifying characteristics (basic biology and anatomy) of each listed Arthropod Class and Insect Order, Linnaean classification, and dichotomous keys. Test your skills with a “mock event” for students to get comfortable with the station rotation process. Nature Center will have coach-led study stations set up for teams to try out their existing knowledge.

What to Expect:
These participatory classes primarily take place indoors and are interactive. These sessions are specifically designed for the student participants to ask and answer questions, and we encourage adult coaches, chaperones, and parents to supportively observe.

Ages: Children 7-12. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Time: 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Cost: $6 per child, adults and coaches are Free!
Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
