Overview:Our Senior Sundays program series is designed to be both a learning experience and a social event! We’ll gather with coffee and bagels, explore seasonal nature phenomena, and learn how to increase the wildlife diversity in your backyard or garden. Join us for one session or all of them.February 5 – Senior Sundays: Feeder Birds9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.Learn more about attracting and identifying our resident winter birds, how to maintain feeders, and how to solve some of the problems that can plague feeding stations in the winter. April 2 – Senior Sundays: Birding by Ear 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.Learn some tips and tricks for learning bird songs and enjoy a short bird hike on our compacted gravel trails. Audio amplification can be provided for those with hearing challengesJune 25 – Senior Sundays: Michigan’s Butterflies and Moths 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Learn to identify and attract some of Michigan’s amazing butterflies and moths to your backyard or garden. Ages: Adults 55 and up Cost: $5 per person Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature CenterPre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
