Overview:This class for our youngest learners will ignite excitement for nature by focusing each month on a well-known animal, plant, or natural occurrence. Through stories, crafts and nature exploration kids will collect information about these fun topics. With this new knowledge, kids and families can gain confidence with outdoor nature play and experience the joy and wonder of nature.What to Expect:This session takes places indoors and outdoors throughout the year and is designed for caregiver and child to participate in together. The planned path surfaces are compact gravel, grass, or lawn and are mostly flat and level. January – Little Critters: Winter BirdsFebruary – Little Critters: Rocks & Minerals March – Little Critters: Fish April – Little Critters: Spring Birds May – Little Critters: Terrific Turtles June – Little Critters: Dragonflies September – Little Critters: Hummingbirds October – Little Critters: Fruit & Seeds November – Little Critters: Preparing for Winter December – Little Critters: Evergreens Ages: Children 3-6. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Time: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Cost: $3 per child , adults are Free!
