Overview:LENS CAP – Lake Erie Nature Society for Cameras and Photography – is a program geared to help you improve and explore your camera and photography skill. We will meet six times a year on Sundays and each program will focus on a different topic or skill. Join us for each session or individual ones. What to Expect:This program is entirely indoors. You will be seated for the entire duration. Group discussion will be encouraged.January 29 – LENS CAP: A Year of PhotosThis is an opportunity for participants to submit their own photos for an interpretive program. Participants are asked to send in their photos prior to the session; and staff will compile the top photos into a PowerPoint and create a program around the submissions. Please send all photos to [email protected] by Monday, January 22.March 24 –LENS CAP: Photographing the Night SkyJoin Astro photographer Donald Nakic for a trip through the solar system. If you have ever wanted to learn the basics of photographing the night sky, now is your chance!May 19 - LENS CAP: Photo ContestSubmit your best photos. We will discuss the finer points of each submission; and vote, as a group, on them. Top three photos will be displayed in Museum Observation Room. Please send all photos to [email protected] by Monday, May 13.July 28 – LENS CAP: Photography from the FieldWe will be joined by someone from the world of photography to gather tips, tricks, and techniques they find while out in the field. Speaker will be announced as the date approaches.September 29 – LENS CAP: Back to BasicsThis will be a “back to basics approach” as we review basic camera settings and composition. November 17 - LENS CAP: Photo ContestSubmit your best photos. Top three photos will be displayed in Museum Observation Room.
