Overview:
There are many different myths and legends associated with the Full Moon. Join us as we learn a little about our closest, natural satellite; and explore how and why there are so many unique names associated with each full moon.

What to Expect:
This program is entirely outdoors. The time, approximately 120 minutes, will be spent on a leisurely walk with frequent stops. We will conclude at the Oakwoods Nature Center. The planned path surface is dirt and gravel, and mostly flat and level.

Thursday, January 25 – Full Moon Hike: Wolf Moon, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, February 24 – Full Moon Hike: Snow Moon, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Monday, March 25 – Full Moon Hike: Worm Moon, 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Tuesday, April 23 – Full Moon Hike: Pink Moon, 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Thursday, May 23 – Full Moon Hike: Flower Moon, 9 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday, June 21 – Full Moon Hike: Strawberry Moon, 9 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Sunday, July 21 – Full Moon Hike: Buck Moon, 9 p.m. – 11 p.m.
Monday, August 19 – Full Moon Hike: Sturgeon Moon, 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Tuesday, September 17 – Full Moon Hike: Harvest Moon, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Thursday, October 17 – Full Moon Hike: Hunter’s Moon, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Sunday, December 15 – Full Moon Hike: Cold Moon, 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Ages: 8 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.
Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult
Location: Oakwoods Metropark, Nature Center

Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
