Overview:Explorer’s Club is a recurring monthly program on the first Saturday of every month; come to Oakwoods to learn about Michigan’s native species. We’ll cover everything from plants to animals, to insects and everything in between! Ever wonder how animals prepare for winter or what they do to avoid predators? We will hit the trail to explore animals and their amazing adaptations! Join me to learn about the animals at Oakwoods and find out whether they hibernate or migrate, and how they thrive here at Oakwoods! Explorer’s Club promotes a love of nature and of learning!What to Expect:This program starts indoors, ends outdoors. The time, approximately 15 minutes, will be spent indoors; the remaining 45 minutes will be spent on a leisurely walk. We will conclude at the Oakwoods Nature Center. The planned path surface is dirt and gravel, and mostly flat and level.
