Overview:Our Beginning Birding series for adults will cover a different topic each month focusing on helping participants develop their birding identification skills and their enjoyment around observing birds. Participants are welcome to join one or all three sessions. These classes are intended to be participatory and supportive, so please bring your questions, observations, and challenges. Everyone can be a birder!January 4 – Beginning Birding: Winter Residents May 10 – Beginning Birding: Spring Migrants September 21 – Beginning Birding: Hawks & FalconsWhat to Expect:Plan for about 60 minutes indoors, 60 minutes outdoors for each session. The outdoor session will take place on compact gravel trails and will likely include a walk of between ¼ - ½ mile in length. Ages: 16 and up. Time: 10 a.m. – Noon Cost: $5 per child, $5 per adult Location: Lake St. Clair Metropark, Nature Center Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. the day before the program.
