Overview:Let’s take a hike! Our family hiking program is designed for families with young children- we’ll explore the natural world together, investigating seasonal happenings through the lens of our littlest learners. These hikes will focus on exploration, discovery, and the joys of nature rather than covering long distances. A hike of between ¼ mile and 1 mile will take place along mostly compact gravel trails. This hike will be slower to accommodate the interests of young children. A group interactive activity or game with instructions may be involved. Ages: Children 2 - 8. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.Time: 1 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.Cost: $3 per child, adults are free Location: Stony Creek Metropark, Nature Center Pre-registration is required by 4 p.m. one day before the program.
